Frequently Asked Questions

We stock O-rings in six primary materials: NBR (Nitrile), Viton (FKM), EPDM, Silicone (VMQ), HNBR, and PTFE. Each material offers specific properties for temperature, chemical resistance, and application requirements. We also offer custom compounds for specialized applications.
We manufacture O-rings in all major international standards: AS568 (American), BS1806 & BS4518 (British), DIN 3771 (German/Metric), and JIS B2401 (Japanese). We also supply custom metric sizes from 1mm to 500mm ID.
Our standard NBR (Nitrile) O-rings are rated for continuous service from -40°C to +120°C. For higher temperature requirements, we recommend Viton (up to 200°C) or Silicone (up to 230°C) compounds.
Yes, we offer FDA-compliant Silicone and EPDM O-rings for food and pharmaceutical applications. Our food-grade materials meet FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and USP Class VI standards. Available in white, red, blue, and clear colors.
We have no minimum order quantity for standard sizes. You can order even a single piece. For custom-molded sizes, minimum quantities may apply depending on tooling requirements. Contact us for specific details.
For orders placed before 2 PM, we offer same-day dispatch from our Delhi facility. Delivery within Delhi NCR typically takes 24 hours. For other North Indian states, delivery takes 2-3 business days via courier.
NBR (Nitrile) is economical with excellent oil resistance up to 120°C, ideal for general industrial use. Viton (FKM) offers superior chemical resistance and higher temperature tolerance (200°C) but at a higher cost. Viton is preferred for aerospace, chemical, and high-heat applications.
Yes, we manufacture custom-size O-rings and custom profiles. Send us your drawing or specifications, and we can produce molds for non-standard dimensions. Minimum order quantities apply for custom molded products.
Standard O-rings are available in 70 Shore A hardness. We also offer 60, 80, and 90 Shore A depending on material and application. For special requirements, we can compound custom hardness levels.
Yes, we provide Material Test Certificates (MTC) and compliance certificates (FDA, RoHS, REACH) upon request. Our ISO 9001:2015 certification ensures full traceability of all materials used.
Storage conditions greatly affect shelf life. Under proper conditions (cool, dark, dry, ozone-free), NBR and EPDM typically last 5-10 years. Viton and Silicone can last 10-15+ years. We recommend using first-in-first-out inventory practices.
Consider three factors: temperature range, fluid compatibility, and pressure. For petroleum oils, NBR works well. For high temperatures or aggressive chemicals, choose Viton. For water or outdoor use, EPDM is ideal. For food contact, use FDA-grade Silicone. Our team can help you select the right material.
We accept bank transfers (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS), UPI, cheques, and cash for local customers. For corporate clients, we offer credit terms subject to approval. All payments are processed securely.
Yes, we ship pan-India. While our primary warehouse is in Delhi NCR, we serve customers across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and all other states. Shipping costs vary by location and order value.
AS568 is the American standard using inch-based dimensions (e.g., -214). Metric/DIN O-rings use millimeter dimensions. They are not interchangeable without checking groove dimensions. We stock both systems to serve diverse equipment needs.
Yes, we supply O-rings for hydraulic systems up to 400 bar. For pressures above 150 bar, we recommend using backup rings to prevent extrusion. We stock compatible backup rings in PTFE and Nylon materials.
Yes, our EPDM O-rings are suitable for potable water and meet WRAS (UK) and KTW (German) standards where required. We can provide certification for drinking water applications on request.
Absolutely. For urgent breakdown situations, we offer same-day dispatch for orders confirmed before 2 PM. Please call us directly at +91 93542 42320 for priority handling of emergency requirements.
X-rings (Quad Rings) have a four-lobed cross-section that provides two sealing surfaces, reducing friction by up to 20% compared to O-rings. They perform better in dynamic applications and resist spiral failure in reciprocating motion.
Yes, we provide samples for qualified projects and OEM approvals. Sample requests are subject to availability and may incur nominal charges that are refundable on bulk orders. Contact our sales team with your requirements.
We serve automotive, aerospace, oil & gas, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, water treatment, hydraulic systems, and general manufacturing industries across India.
Yes, we provide GST-compliant invoices for all business customers. Our GST registration is valid and we input all required details including HSN codes (4016 for rubber O-rings) for seamless input tax credit.
Store O-rings in a cool, dark, dry place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources (motors, fluorescent lights), and solvents. Ideal temperature is below 25°C. Keep them in sealed polyethylene bags and avoid stretching or hanging.
Our hydraulic piston and rod seals are rated up to 400 bar (5800 psi) depending on design and material. Wiper seals protect against contamination up to 100 bar. For higher pressures, we recommend using backup rings.

For most oil and gas applications, Viton (FKM) O-rings are the preferred choice due to their excellent resistance to crude oil, refined petroleum products, H₂S and high temperatures up to 200°C. For sour gas service or high-pressure downhole applications, HNBR is recommended for superior mechanical strength. For the most chemically aggressive environments, FFKM offers universal resistance. Bharati Solutions supplies all three compounds in standard and custom sizes from our Delhi warehouse.
Yes. We supply FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 approved Silicone and EPDM O-rings that are suitable for direct food contact applications. These are also compatible with FSSAI guidelines for food processing equipment in India. We stock food-grade seals in standard metric and AS568 sizes with compliance documentation available.
Absolutely. We regularly supply EPDM O-rings for ammonia service (anhydrous ammonia is highly aggressive to NBR and Viton) and PTFE-encapsulated seals for urea and nitric acid applications. We have supplied sealing solutions to fertilizer plants including IFFCO, NFL and Chambal Fertilisers. Our technical team can advise on the right compound for your specific process conditions.
For standard metric and AS568 sizes in NBR, Viton, EPDM and Silicone, we can despatch same day from Delhi with delivery within 1–3 working days to most North India locations including Punjab, Haryana, UP, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. For urgent breakdown requirements, we also offer express courier options.
Yes, we supply a complete range of hydraulic and pneumatic seals including piston seals, rod seals, wiper seals, guide rings, O-rings and PTFE back-up rings conforming to ISO 5597 and DIN dimensions. These are available in standard bore sizes as well as custom metric sizes to drawing.
Yes. For critical applications in oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, power plants and chemical industries, we can supply O-rings with full material traceability, batch test certificates (MTC), FDA compliance letters, WRAS approval documentation and USP Class VI certification as appropriate for the material grade.
